Assignment Title: Involvement of Service Providing / Event Organizing Company to provide catering services during the training for Establishment of a private veterinary sector for the staff of Field Veterinary Stations

The Government of Azerbaijan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The project consists of four components:

  1. Component A – Support for sanitary and phytosanitary services, which is structured into three subcomponents: support: (i) Food Safety Capacity Building; (ii) Upgrading Plant Health and Phytosanitary System, and (iii) Animal Health and Veterinary Services.
  2. Component B - Agri-food value chain development. The activities will be structured into two sub-components: (i) Investment and advisory support for agribusiness value chain development, and (ii) Seed sector development.
  3. Component C – Financial services to agribusiness.
  4. Component D - Project Management.

 

Under the Component A3 - Animal Health and Veterinary Services - (a) further enhance access to quality-assured veterinary services by supporting privatization of filed veterinary units; (b) further strengthen the disease surveillance and preparedness functions of the Veterinary Services  through investments aimed at optimizing the efficiency of animal disease control program in accordance with OIE recommendations; (c) further development of a national veterinary information system; and (d) support for veterinary education.

 

Privatization of Field Veterinary Units (FVU) of Animal Health and Veterinary Service Regulation Department of Agrarian Services Agency

 

One of the main activities of the "Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project" implemented by the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the World Bank is to support to privatizations process. As per consideration, the private veterinarians will be trained within the framework of the ACIP.

Along with that the Project intends to hire Service providing company to carry out catering services during the implementation of the training program.

 

The general objective of the assignment

 

The objective of the assignment to involve the Service Providing Company to carry out catering services during the implementation of the training program. The Company will perform the following task in close cooperation with the Client and the Training Providing Company:

  • Delivery of tea / coffee and lunch for trainers and training participants during the trainings.

 

Scope of services

The Service Provider, should work closely with the Client and Training Consultant, follow up the training program and undertake appropriate catering activities and meal arrangements. In this regard, during the training days, the Service Provider will provide the participants with a daily one-time lunch and coffee break of two times.

The assignment is considered for big number of people. Food safety aspects should be considered properly. The service providing company must demonstrate information on availability of necessary equipment/items. In addition, the company should have an experience of performing similar tasks.

 

Obligations of Service Provider

 

The Service Provider should ensure food safety requirements. The Service Provider must demonstrate the followings:

  1. Assorted menu sheets;
  2. List of previous Customers and recommendations from the indicated Customers. 

 

 

Location of assignment

The Trainings shall be conducted in 52 regions of Azerbaijan.

 

Duration of the task

The assignment is considered to be implemented within the 4-5 months. The task is expected to be implemented in late May-through October 2021.

The shortlisting criteria are:

Qualification and Experience of Service Provider

A service providing company is required to have at least 3 years of intensive experience in provision of similar services, event organization skills, to carry out similar activities, and have a specific technical basis for the implementation of relevant services.

 

The Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project now invites eligible Service Providing Companies to indicate their interest in provision of mentioned services.

 

Service Providing Company shall be selected in accordance with Non-Consulting Services, Request for Quotations (Shopping) method under IBRD Loans.

 

Interested Applicants are requested to apply for ITQ forms until May 17, 2021. Price Quotations must be delivered in a written form to the address below (in person, or by mail, or by fax, or by e-mail) by May 21, 2021.
