AGRARIAN SUBSIDY RATIOS 2020

Agrarian Subsidy Council announced planting, harvest and seed ratios, seed and seedling quotas by plant and region in order to grant subsidies in 2020.

Subsidies will be provided in accordance with the ratios adopted by the Agrarian Subsidy Council from 2020.

Agrarian Subsidy Council has decided to determine planting, harvest and seed ratios, seed and seedling quotas, and planting needs by plant and region for 2020 year in accordance with paragraph 2.4 of “Rules of Subsidizing Agricultural Production” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No 759 dated June 27, 2019.

According to the decision, the amount of planting ratios and crop subsidies in 2020, with a base value of 200 manat is set as follows:

In accordance with the decision of the Agrarian Subsidy Council, intensive orchards include the following orchards provided with drip irrigation systems:

- orchards with minimum of 650 vegetative grafting seedlings per 1 hectare for apple, pear, cherry, plum, peach (nectarine), apricot, cherry plum and almond crops;

- orchards of date and pomegranate plants with a minimum of 450 seedlings per hectare;

- orchards of lemon, orange, tangerine (mandarin orange) and feijoa (pineapple guava) with a minimum of 650 seedlings per hectare;

- hazelnut orchards with minimum of 330 seedlings per hectare;

- orchards of medlar, cornel cherry, silverberry, fig, olive and other crops with minimum of 330 seedlings per hectare.

Subsidies for grapes and intensive orchards will be applied to the orchards laid since 2019. For other orchards, crop subsidies will be given at a ratio of 1.2. It is determined that the minimum number of seedlings per hectare is 90 in other orchards for which the subsidies will be granted.

By the decision of the Agrarian Subsidy Council:

  1. Ratio of sowing on paddy is applied to Agdash, Agsu, Astara, Bilasuvar, Goychay, Lankaran, Masalli, Salyan, Samukh, Ujar, Yevlakh, Sheki and Zardab districts. The ratio is taken as 0 in other districts and cities.
  2. Ratio of sowing on cotton is applied to Aghdam, Aghdash, Aghsu, Beylagan, Barda, Bilasuvar, Jabrayil, Jalilabad, Fuzuli, Goranboy, Hajigabul, Imishli, Kurdamir, Neftchala, Saatli, Sabirabad, Salyan, Samukh, Tartar, Ujar, Zardab. The ratio is taken as 0 in other districts and cities.
  3. Ratio of sowing on tobacco is applied to Aghstafa, Balaken, Gadabay, Goranboy, Ismayilli, Lerik, Masalli, Oguz, Gakh, Gazakh, Gabala, Sheki, Tovuz, Yardimli and Zagatala districts. The ratio is taken as 0 in other districts and cities.
  4. Ratio of sowing on hazelnut is applied to Aghstafa, Balaken, Zagatala, Khachmaz, Gakh, Gabala, Guba, Sheki, Oguz, Gusar, Gazakh, Shabran and Ismayilli districts. The ratio is taken as 0 in other districts and cities.
  5. Ratio of sowing on tea is applied to Astara, Lankaran, Masalli and Zagatala districts. The ratio is taken as 0 in other districts and cities.

The Agrarian Subsidy Council has decided to pay a subsidy of 100 manat per ton of cotton, 50 manat per ton of dry tobacco, 5 manat per ton of wet tobacco, and 4 manat per ton of sugar beet.

The Agrarian Subsidy Council has also decided on seed ratios and seed subsidy amount, seed quota, annual quota for seedlings, and planting needs to be used to calculate seed subsidies submitted to processing enterprises (upper limit of quantities of 1 and 2 reproduction seeds and seedlings sold to farmers per hectare of land used) in 2020.

Granting subsidies for the ratios announced will start in 2020. Since that year, subsidies will be provided only through the E-Agricultural Information System.
