The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) was established in 1992 under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey to provide foreign assistance. Since May 28, 1999, it has been subordinated to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Turkey. TIKA has 50 Cooperation Offices in 48 countries of the world. The organization's Baku Program Coordination Office has been operating since 1994 and Fatih Yılmaz has been leading the Office since August 11, 2021. Projects are carried out in the form of small-scale assistance on a one-time basis, and special importance is attached to the establishment of cooperation with the state and non-state structures of Azerbaijan in the fields of agriculture, tourism, development of institutional infrastructure, economic, technical, social, cultural and health activities.
 
Exchange of experience
Within the framework of the joint cooperation between the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency and TIKA, 10 employees of the relevant structural units of the Ministry were sent for training in Ankara, Republic of Turkey, on July 1-31, 2021. During the training, the knowledge and skills of specialists were increased in order to carry out examinations in 4 (four) directions (toxicological, helminthological, bacteriological, and parasitological), to correctly identify diagnoses and take necessary preventive measures at the next stage in diagnostic cabinets (wet labs).
