International Atomic Energy Agency

                                                                
Founded in 1957 as Atom for Peace, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) operates as the world's intergovernmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. In 2014, the Agreement on providing technical assistance to the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan was signed by the International Atomic Energy Agency. By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 8, 2014, the "National Nuclear Research Center" Closed Joint Stock Company was established under the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
